Mr. Hogue, the firm’s managing partner, has been designated a Super Lawyer based on peer recognition for his professional achievement as a business litigation attorney. He has a Martindale-Hubbell preeminent "AV" rating by the Bar and Judiciary. For more than three decades he has represented both large and small clients in all manner of commercial matters. He serves as general counsel to various mid-size companies, providing counseling on all aspects of their legal and business issues. He is actively involved in both corporate and individual planning. Mr. Hogue also has vast experience trying complex commercial and contract cases, and has appeared in numerous courts, including the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Hogue is a graduate of Harvard University (cum laude) and of the University Of Pittsburgh School Of Law, where he served as Executive Articles Editor of the Law Review. Jon and Dr. John Murray were law partner and friends for over twenty-five years.

Mr. Hogue has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Carnegie Mellon University. For many years, he has been and is involved in a wide range of community service. Among other things, he is a past President of the Board of Directors for Neighborhood Legal Services of Allegheny County. He is frequent lecturer on contract law and ethics and recently co-authored with Tim Murray, Corbin on Pennsylvania Contracts (2018).
